The Diesel of the Year (DOTY) award is assigned by an independent jury of professional journalists from Vado e Torno Edizioni, chaired by the editorial team of Diesel and Diesel International magazines. The publishing house collaborates with technical journalists, major associations, universities, research centers, and industry experts, and has created the Diesel Index, a key reference for evaluating engines. Vado e Torno also oversees major awards, including Tractor of the Year, judged by 24 agro-mechanical journalists across Europe, and sustainability-focused prizes such as the Sustainable Bus Award (launched in 2017) and Sustainable Truck of the Year, developed with Politecnico di Milano. These awards emphasize eco-friendly innovation, efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. Additionally, the Mobility Revolution indices, designed with Politecnico di Milano and Lifegate, evaluate the sustainability of vehicles and their supply chains, reflecting Vado e Torno’s commitment to advancing sustainable mobility.
